Hamburg Airport evacuated after unknown toxin spreads
Hamburg Airport was evacuated after 33 people were hurt by an unknown toxin which spread through its air conditioning system.
According to the German news agency DPA around 50 people complained about breathing problems and burning eyes.
Some people were taken to hospital.
Authorities have been trying to work out what the hazardous substance is which occurred in a security check area.
Police have said it is not a terrorist incident.
Tourist Vicky Elise, who's at the airport, told Sky News: "All of a sudden we were told we had to leave the airport immediately. It was a bit worrying."
Airport spokeswoman Karen Stein said: "We have cancelled all flights at least until 2pm and most parts of the airport have been evacuated."
Those who have been evacuated are being forced to wait outside the terminal building in freezing conditions.
